Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - CVICU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 nights at a leading Hospital in Lawton, OK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in a combined medical ICU, surgical ICU, CVICU, and neuro ICU setting
• Care for pediatric patients when helicopter transport is unavailable
• Manage patient assignments with 1:2 staffing ratio, occasionally 1:3 for ICU patients
• Float to CVCU with 1:4 staffing ratio during low census periods
• Float to Emergency Department to care for hold patients when needed
• Work in either the 14-bed unit or 12-bed unit based on bed availability
• Adapt to patient placement decisions based on bed availability rather than reason for admission
• Work 5 days out of six weeks for weekend coverage
• Maintain current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
• Maintain valid Oklahoma nursing license
• Complete all compliance requirements one week prior to start date
• Provide work history and permanent address information
• Demonstrate minimum 6 months relevant ICU experience
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
