Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide surgical technology services in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) specialty
• Work scheduled shifts from 6:45 AM-3:15 PM or 6:45 AM-5:15 PM with call rotation
• Maintain current surgical technologist certification and licensure
• Complete required onboarding documentation including code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Pass specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist requirements
• Complete mandatory health screenings including drug screening, PPD or IGRA testing, and physical examination
• Maintain current immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap vaccines
• Complete color vision testing as required for surgical procedures
• Undergo comprehensive background checks and verification processes
• Complete child and adult dependent abuse training
• Participate in fit testing for personal protective equipment
• Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Complete required education verification and professional reference checks
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
