Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Waterloo, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing services in the Operating Room specialty area
• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week plus call coverage
• Work 12-hour shifts from 0600-1830
• Take approximately 1-2 weeknight calls every 2 weeks
• Take approximately every 4-5 weekend call rotations
• Participate in holiday rotation coverage
• Complete Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training
• Complete Skills Checklist and competency testing
• Maintain current RN license and certificate verification
• Complete required drug screening and fit testing
• Complete specialty specific competency testing
• Maintain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and tuberculosis screening
• Complete annual physical and health statement
• Maintain compliance with background check and criminal screening requirements
• Complete education verification and professional reference checks
• Adhere to code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete Joint Commission testing and training modules
• Maintain system access and security requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
