Position Summary:

VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Scrub Tech - Scrub Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Waterloo, IA. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide surgical technology services as a Scrub Technician
• Work 3-12 hour shifts per week plus call or 4-10 hour shifts per week plus call
• Participate in weeknight call rotation approximately 1-2 times every 2 weeks
• Participate in weekend call rotation approximately every 4-5 weekends
• Work holiday rotation as assigned
• Maintain current professional licensure and certifications
• Complete Trinity Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training
• Complete Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty-specific competency testing
• Complete all required Trinity compliance forms and documentation
• Pass fit testing and color vision testing
• Complete 9-panel drug screening
• Maintain current immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2-step PPD or IGRA testing
• Pass physical health examination
• Complete criminal background check and education verification
• Complete Joint Commission testing requirements
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for surgical services

Job Requirements:

Active, unencumbered license in IA
Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]

Other Required Documentation:

Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
Two current clinical references
State-required professional license
Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
Must pass background check and drug screening
