Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Waterloo, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services in the Operating Room setting
• Work either 3-12 hour shifts per week plus call or 4-10 hour shifts per week plus call
• Take weeknight call approximately 1-2 times every 2 weeks
• Take weekend call approximately every 4-5 weekends
• Participate in holiday rotation as required
• Complete Trinity Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training during onboarding
• Complete Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty-specific competency testing
• Maintain current RN licensure and complete license verification
• Complete required health screenings including fit test, drug screen, and physical examination
• Obtain required vaccinations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA, and Varicella
• Complete Trinity Code of Conduct and Confidentiality agreements
• Pass color vision testing requirements
• Complete criminal background check and education verification
• Complete Joint Commission testing and compliance requirements
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
