Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker - Licensed Master Social Worker to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading LTC in Kodiak, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide social work services as a Licensed Master Social Worker in acute care and long-term care settings
• Maintain current BLS certification and valid LMSW license
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Float within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Work 5x8 day shifts with weekend requirements
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for social work service delivery
• Maintain professional standards in acute care medical center and long-term care facility environments
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
