Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - NICU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Tarzana, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care for neonates from birth to 2 years of age
• Maintain current BLS, NRP, and valid state licensure
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (approximately 16 hours)
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals within the state as assigned
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Maintain current LA fire card (within last 30 days)
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for NICU patient care
• Complete background screening and disclose any license or background issues at time of submission
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
