Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Prescribe and adhere to kindness principles in all personal and professional interactions while on duty
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service by mentoring core principles of care, service and quality in all job duties
• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of residents/patients for a shift of duty under supervision
• Provide nursing care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care
• Adhere to standards of care for the assigned area
• Manage the environment to maintain resident/patient safety
• Supervise resident/patient care activity performance by nursing assistants and helpers
• Follow all facility policies and procedures
• Perform duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act
• Follow applicable JCAHO standards where required
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling as blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Work every other weekend including holiday rotation if scheduled
• Maintain current BLS (AHA) certification
• Ensure proper time tracking and clocking procedures for shift compensation
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
