Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Mission Hills, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide surgical technology services in operating room settings
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Obtain and maintain NBSTSA or NCCT certification
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 1 weekend shift every 4 weeks as required
• Commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Float between all facilities within the state as assigned
• Comply with facility dress code requirements
• Maintain valid state licensure
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Perform duties using facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Obtain LA fire card within 30 days of assignment
• Disclose any license or background issues at time of submission
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for surgical services delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
