Position Summary:

VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ortho Tech - Ortho Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Westlake Village, CA. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide orthopedic technician services in outpatient clinic setting
• Maintain current OTC certification from NCBOT
• Apply and manage various types of casts including cylinder, gauntlet, long arm, short arm, and long leg casts
• Perform cast modifications including removal, trimming, univalving, wedging, and windowing
• Apply splints including foot muff, gutter, hand muff, posterior, and sugar tong splints
• Fit and apply orthopedic devices such as cervical collars, knee braces, shoulder immobilizers, and slings
• Assist with medical procedures including debridements and pin insertions
• Perform sterile dressing techniques and suture removal
• Provide patient education and gait training
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Float between sister facilities when required
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Perform duties using facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Provide care to adolescent and adult patient populations

Job Requirements:

Active, unencumbered license in CA
Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)

Other Required Documentation:

Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
Two current clinical references
State-required professional license
Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
Must pass background check and drug screening
