Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Plainview, TX. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform echocardiography procedures including Adult Echo, Contrast Echo, and Stress Echocardiogram (Treadmill)
• Conduct vascular ultrasound studies and examinations
• Perform general ultrasound procedures including abdominal, OB, breast, and transvaginal examinations
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records
• Provide on-call coverage 5pm-8am Monday-Friday and 24 hours Saturday-Sunday
• Work with diverse patient populations including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Assist with precepting and training clinicians
• Maintain current BLS certification and required professional certifications (ARDMS, CCI, ARDMS RVT, CCI or RDCS)
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment
• Work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Perform ultrasound-guided procedures including biopsies and fine needle aspirations
• Conduct specialized procedures such as paracentesis and various doppler studies
• Maintain valid state licensure and comply with facility policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in TX
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
