Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Surgical Tech - Certified Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Missoula, MT. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform certified surgical technologist duties in operating room with 1:1 patient ratio
• Work with RN circulators in 11 operating rooms serving all specialties including General, Ortho, Neuro, Gyn, Uro, Vascular, robotic, plastics, and trauma
• Assist with specialized procedures including total joints, open colorectal cases, trauma surgeries, and neurosurgical cases
• Maintain current BLS and NBSTSA certifications
• Respond to on-call duties within 20 minutes when placed on call
• Work every 8th weekend plus 2-3 week nights per month for on-call coverage
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Complete 36 hours of facility orientation
• Float within the facility as needed
• Complete required modules pre-start and annually (average 16 hours, non-billable)
• Provide care for adult and pediatric patient populations
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and robotic surgery equipment
• Follow aseptic technique protocols and sharps safety procedures
• Handle specimen collection, labeling, and processing
• Maintain and care for scopes, fiber optic equipment, and electrosurgical units
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within comparable specialty/setting
• Complete compliance documentation by Monday prior to start date
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules through Workramp transcripts
• Adhere to facility policies and dress code requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MT
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
