Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and peripheral magnetic resonance angiography
• Operate Siemens (Avanto and Sola) and GE Premier MRI equipment with competency on both systems
• Conduct diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, maximum intensity projection (MIP), and multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
• Perform perfusion, spectroscopy, spin echo images, surface coils, T-1 and T-2 weighted images
• Provide patient care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations
• Work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
• Complete daily caseload of approximately 40 cases across 3 MRI rooms
• Prepare and administer contrast media when required
• Utilize Epic charting system and Visage (PACS) for documentation and image management
• Maintain current BLS certification and ARRT(R) or ARRT(MR) credentials
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (8-10 hours for acute care roles)
• Work Thursday through Saturday night shifts (17:00-05:30) schedule
• Provide care in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU settings
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Start peripheral IVs when needed
• Comply with facility dress code wearing royal blue scrubs
• Complete lab work and testing within 48 hours of assignment start
• Provide two supervisory references covering employment within comparable specialty/setting
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
