Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Surgical Tech - Certified Surgical Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Missoula, MT. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide surgical technology services in operating room procedures across multiple specialties including General, Ortho, Neuro, Gyn, Uro, Vascular, robotic, plastics, and trauma • Assist with daily operations running 11 lines serving all specialties • Support total joint procedures, open colorectal cases, and all types of trauma surgeries • Maintain current BLS and NBSTSA certifications • Respond to on-call duties within 20 minutes when placed on call • Work on-call schedule including every 8th weekend plus 2-3 week nights per month • Provide care for adult and pediatric patient populations • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Maintain aseptic technique and sharps safety protocols • Handle specimen collection and labeling procedures • Operate and maintain surgical equipment including electrosurgical units, drills, laparoscopic equipment, and robotic surgical systems • Care for scopes and fiber optic equipment • Assist with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System procedures • Support neurosurgical cases particularly during on-call periods • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience • Maintain valid state surgical technologist licensure • Complete compliance documentation by deadline • Float within facility as needed • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Follow laser safety protocols and equipment handling procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MT
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
