Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging procedures for adult and pediatric patients in acute care, ICU, outpatient, and ER/trauma settings
• Conduct abdomen and pelvis imaging including abdominal MRA/MRV, female/male pelvis, and MRCP studies
• Perform chest imaging procedures including breast MRI
• Execute head and neck imaging including brain, cranial nerves, face/soft tissue neck, head MRA/MRV, and orbit studies
• Conduct musculoskeletal imaging of foot, hand, hip, knee, extremities, shoulder, sternum, and TMJ with/without contrast
• Perform spine imaging including cervical, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, thoracic, and spinal trauma studies
• Execute T-1 and T-2 weighted imaging protocols
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required
• Start peripheral IVs when necessary
• Maintain isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records
• Operate Siemens Aera 1.5T MRI equipment
• Work rotating call shifts once weekly from 20:30-07:00 and one weekend every fourth week
• Complete 72 hours of facility orientation
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 08:00-20:30, Monday through Wednesday
• Work every other weekend as scheduled
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Maintain current ARRT MR and BLS certifications
• Adhere to facility fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
• Handle general studies, MSK, body, neuro, and breast imaging (no cardiac or anesthesia procedures)
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
