Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform ultrasound imaging services as an Ultrasound Technician
• Maintain current BLS certification and ARDMS certification
• Operate various ultrasound equipment including GE, Philips, Siemens, and SonoSite systems
• Perform imaging procedures including abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and spleen studies
• Conduct portable ultrasound examinations as needed
• Provide intraoperative ultrasound support and lung biopsy procedures
• Perform pediatric abdomen/pelvis imaging when required
• Work in Emergency Department and ICU settings providing ultrasound services
• Utilize PACS system for image documentation and management
• Complete required compliance modules pre-start and annually
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float between sister facilities as needed
• Maintain valid state licensure with compact license
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignments
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Submit monthly cell phone bills for work-related usage when applicable
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in TX
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
