Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Plainview, TX. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform ultrasound imaging procedures in emergency department, ICU, and portable settings
• Operate various ultrasound equipment including GE, Philips, Siemens, and SonoSite systems
• Conduct specialized imaging including abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, breast, gallbladder, liver, lung biopsy, pancreas, and spleen studies
• Perform intraoperative ultrasound procedures as needed
• Provide pediatric abdomen/pelvis imaging services
• Utilize PACS system for image management and documentation
• Document procedures using facility charting system
• Maintain current BLS and ARDMS certifications
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required
• Maintain valid compact state licensure
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within last 3 years
• Complete compliance documentation and background requirements
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for imaging services delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in TX
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
