Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scanning procedures on patients across all age groups (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics) • Conduct X-ray examinations in addition to CT scans as required • Operate CT equipment including GE, Hitachi, Phillips, Siemens or Toshiba systems • Perform multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) imaging techniques • Conduct specialized CT procedures including brain perfusion, vascular CTA, aspirations, biopsies, and drainage procedures • Perform CT scans of abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, cervical spine, lumbar spine, thoracic spine, and musculoskeletal trauma with and without contrast • Prepare and administer contrast media as needed • Start peripheral IVs for contrast administration • Maintain radiation safety protocols and procedures • Implement isolation precautions and utilize appropriate PPE • Utilize PACS system for image storage and retrieval • Document procedures using Epic charting system • Work weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM • Provide both inpatient and outpatient imaging services • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, lift teams, rapid response teams, and transportation • Maintain current ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications • Maintain current BLS certification • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (average 16 hours) • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Maintain valid state licensure • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care and imaging services • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for work duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
