Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scanning procedures using 64 slice Toshiba Aquilion scanner and 64 slice GE lightspeed equipment • Conduct imaging for abdomen, pelvis, chest, and head without and/or with contrast • Perform specialized procedures including heart calcium scoring, coronary angiography, vascular chest imaging, and pulmonary embolism studies • Execute CT-guided biopsies, aspirations, drainage procedures, and brain perfusion studies • Prepare and administer contrast media as required for procedures • Provide imaging services for emergency department patients and outpatients in high-volume environment • Perform coronary CTA and vascular CTA procedures • Conduct musculoskeletal trauma imaging including cervical, lumbar, and thoracic spine • Utilize PACS system for image management and documentation • Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain proper isolation precautions/PPE • Assist with patient transport when needed despite transport support availability • Provide care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Work primarily night shifts from 17:45 to 06:15 with potential day shift coverage as needed • Maintain current BLS, ARRT R, ARRT CT, and CA CRT certifications • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Float between facilities within the state as required • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
