Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical therapy services for inpatient and outpatient settings
• Treat patients with post-operative conditions including total knee arthroplasty, total hip arthroplasty, rotator cuff repairs, spinal surgeries, ACL repairs, and arthroscopies
• Manage non-operative conditions including neck pain, low back pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, and foot/ankle pain
• Provide therapy for general deconditioning, balance and gait challenges
• Treat neurological disorders including CVA, Parkinson's disease, and traumatic brain injury
• Conduct patient assessments, evaluations, and reassessments
• Develop and implement plans of care with short-term and long-term goals
• Perform discharge planning and patient education
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and specialized skills in neurology, sports medicine, and aquatic therapy
• Implement therapeutic interventions including AROM/AAROM/PROM exercises
• Train patients in use of assistive devices including crutches, walkers, and mobility aids
• Conduct gait training and spinal mobilization techniques
• Apply therapeutic modalities including cryotherapy and hydrotherapy
• Develop home exercise programs for patients
• Provide patient and family education
• Transport patients to and from treatment areas
• Identify signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Complete required training modules pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Float occasionally to acute inpatient side and between sister facilities as needed
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Maintain valid state licensure
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Work scheduled hours including 9:30-6:00 daily except Fridays 8:30-5:00
• Treat patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
