Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - RAD Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Eureka, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform radiologic technologist duties in acute care hospital setting with 150 staffed beds
• Conduct adult outpatient and acute care imaging procedures
• Perform routine chest, abdomen, and orthopedic imaging including ankle, femur, foot, knee, spine, and extremity studies
• Execute specialized procedures including barium enemas, upper GI series, contrast enemas, and fluoroscopic examinations
• Operate imaging equipment including GE, Toshiba, and C-Arm systems
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required
• Perform portable imaging in various departments including Emergency Department, ICU, NICU, Operating Room, and PICU
• Utilize PACS system and Epic charting system for documentation and image management
• Start peripheral IVs when required for procedures
• Provide imaging services for all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned
• Maintain current CA license, ARRT R certification, BLS certification, and Fluoro permit
• Work on-call shifts as required
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Adhere to facility dress code requiring black scrubs for radiology department
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
