Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - RAD Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Eureka, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform radiologic technologist duties in acute care hospital setting
• Operate radiologic equipment including GE and Toshiba systems
• Conduct adult outpatient and inpatient imaging procedures
• Perform routine chest, abdomen, and orthopedic X-rays
• Execute specialized procedures including barium studies and contrast enemas
• Start peripheral IVs and prepare/administer contrast media
• Operate C-Arm equipment during procedures
• Perform portable imaging in various hospital units including ICU, NICU, PICU, and Operating Room
• Use PACS system for image management and Epic charting system for documentation
• Provide imaging services for patients of all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain current CA license, ARRT R, BLS, CRT, and Fluoro certifications
• Work on-call shifts as required
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements (black scrubs for radiology)
• Comply with all facility policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
