Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker - Licensed Social Worker to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency room social work services with behavioral health and psychiatric experience • Maintain current BLS certification and LCSW licensure • Work 3x12 night shifts (1730-0600) with every other weekend requirement • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments for patients across all age groups (pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics) • Assist patients with navigating Department of Children and Families (DCF) processes • Provide individual, marriage, and parental counseling services • Coordinate discharge planning including home care services and equipment • Refer patients to rehabilitation and long-term care facilities as appropriate • Facilitate connections to community resources including AFDC, food stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, and medication assistance programs • Manage adult and child protective services cases and emergency detention procedures • Handle involuntary holds (5150) and guardianship matters • Participate in care conferences and collaborative care planning • Document pertinent information using Epic charting system to facilitate care coordination • Participate in development of patient treatment plans • Address drug and alcohol use assessment and treatment referrals • Handle adoption and foster care consultations • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty setting • Complete 36-hour orientation program • Maintain reliable transportation for shift coverage • Complete all compliance documentation within 72 hours of offer acceptance • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in WA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
