Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Salem, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing services in operating room settings for day shift schedules • Maintain current BLS certification and obtain ACLS certification as preferred • Demonstrate 2 years of nursing experience with first-time travelers accepted • Utilize Epic charting system for all documentation requirements • Work variable 4x10 hour shifts from 07:00-17:30 or night shifts 3x12 from 1900-0730 • Handle weekday scheduled shifts of 12 hours and weekday night call shifts of 8 hours from 2300-0700 • Cover weekend scheduled and call shifts of 12 hours with up to 6 shifts per 6-week schedule • Maintain CNOR certification and demonstrate trauma level experience as preferred • Perform various surgical procedures including abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and arthroscopy • Operate specialized equipment including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and electrosurgical units • Assist with laparoscopic procedures, robotic surgeries, and trauma cases • Provide care for patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Float between units within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as required • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules up to 8 hours non-billable time • Follow infection control protocols and maintain laser safety, radiation safety, and fire safety standards • Participate in code response situations and trauma care as needed • Adhere to Universal Protocol procedures and proper specimen handling/labeling • Complete orientation requirements of 30 hours upon assignment start
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
