Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician - Emergency Medicine to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 24 Hrs at a leading Hospital in West Branch, MI. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency medicine services as a locum physician • Treat approximately 30 patients per day in the emergency department • Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for patient documentation • Work with full emergency department staff support • Manage emergency department with 20 beds • Handle 70% of total admissions received from emergency department • Coordinate care for 1% of emergency department patients requiring admission per day • Arrange transfers for 1% of emergency department patients per day • Work in fast track emergency department staffed by physicians • Perform procedures and skills as required by emergency medicine practice • Clock in and out using Doctime system for reverse billing • Maintain Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with 2+ years recent emergency medicine experience • Maintain current Michigan medical license • Maintain current BLS certification • Complete required orientation and training at half hourly rate • Work 24-hour shifts as scheduled • Provide clean background for credentialing requirements • Submit exact availability for assigned coverage dates • Comply with all submission and credentialing requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
