Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Polson, MT. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care as Operating Room RN covering all surgical departments including Pre/post op, Circulator, PACU, and Endoscopy
• Float between surgical services units and assist other departments within scope of practice
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 in preop, 1:2 in PACU, and 1:1 in OR
• Circulate for various surgical procedures including OBGYN, Ortho, General Surgery, Endoscopy, and ENT
• Must be able to circulate C-sections (required)
• Follow patients through continuum from preop to discharge as required
• Work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday with 8 days of on-call duty including 3-day weekends
• Provide on-call coverage for weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Care for patients across all age groups including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (non-billable time)
• Self-report time spent on training modules with completion recorded in Workramp transcripts
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Maintain valid Montana or Compact RN license
• Complete compliance documentation by Monday prior to start date
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy
• Operate specialized equipment and follow safety protocols for fire, laser, radiation, and malignant hyperthermia
• Adhere to infection control measures and universal protocol procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MT
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
