Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT and X-ray imaging procedures for patients of all age groups (neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics) • Conduct abdomen, chest, head, pelvis imaging without and/or with contrast • Perform specialized studies including carotid, cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and sinus imaging • Execute colorectal studies with rectal contrast and enterography studies • Conduct vascular chest imaging including pulmonary embolism, CTA, and aorta studies • Perform musculoskeletal trauma and trauma head imaging • Utilize 3D rendering techniques including maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering • Execute multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and region of interest measurement (ROI) • Prepare and administer contrast media as required • Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture procedures • Operate C-arm equipment in surgical settings • Maintain radiation safety protocols and standards • Utilize PACS system for image management and storage • Document procedures using Epic charting system • Provide imaging services in Emergency Department and ICU settings • Follow isolation precautions when required • Float between X-ray and CT departments as needed • Work block schedule of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 12-hour day shifts • Complete 40 hours of orientation training • Complete required modules pre-start and annually (average 16 hours, non-billable) • Maintain current ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications • Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
