Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician - Emergency Medicine to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency medicine physician services in an onsite capacity
• Work various shift times including 0600-1600, 0900-2100, 1400-0000, and 2000-0600
• Manage approximately 1.8 patients per hour with a total daily volume of 80 patients
• Perform family medicine procedures including adult and pediatric outpatient care
• Conduct newborn resuscitation and manage non-displaced fractures
• Perform suturing of minor lacerations and incision and drainage procedures
• Provide psychiatric care for uncomplicated adult, child/adolescent, and geriatric patients
• Diagnose and manage common industrial-related medical problems
• Manage ventilation including establishing and maintaining airways with various ventilation modes
• Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Perform central line and arterial line procedures
• Interpret EKGs and perform arthrocentesis, lumbar puncture, and paracentesis
• Execute emergency medicine related procedures and skills
• Utilize Cerner electronic health record system for documentation
• Collaborate with APP support for 12 hours and work with full ED nursing, tech, radiology, and lab support
• Clock in and out using DocTime system for accurate time tracking
• Complete required orientation and training programs
• Work weekend shifts as scheduled
• Maintain current board certification and state licensure
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
• Comply with employee health requirements including vaccinations and health screenings
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
