Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Polson, MT. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive Labor and Delivery nursing care in an LDRP setting • Care for mothers and babies during all phases of obstetric care • Perform sterile vaginal examinations and triage of obstetrical patients • Circulate for C-section procedures • Provide newborn care and maintain NRP certification • Utilize Epic electronic medical record system for documentation • Maintain patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:4 as assigned • Float to other units to assist with general nursing skills when needed • Work variable weekend schedules, typically every other weekend • Take call maximum once per pay period with 30-minute callback time • Complete 24 hours of orientation training • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Maintain current BLS certification • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Maintain valid RN license in Montana or Compact state • Use wireless fetal monitoring and JADA device for postpartum hemorrhage • Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy • Complete compliance documentation by deadline • Adhere to facility policies and scheduling requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MT
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
