Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Jefferson, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in Labor and Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) unit with both mother and baby care
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1-2 for both day and night shifts
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7p-7a with 36 or 48 hour schedules
• Float to MedSurg, CNA, secretary and/or helping hands positions as required
• Manage higher acuity and high-risk cases with required autonomy in small department setting
• Utilize Centricity and Meditech Magic documentation systems
• Maintain required certifications including ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, and BCLS
• Demonstrate competency in Fetal Heart Monitoring
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable acute care modules pre-start and annually
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Provide minimum 2 years of nursing experience with strong Labor and Delivery background
• Maintain current state licensure (NC or Compact license required)
• Complete lab testing and compliance requirements within 48 hours of signing
• Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
