Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver respiratory therapy and patient care following physician's orders, hospital policies and procedures, and departmental standards of care
• Perform therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures
• Evaluate patient/resident response to respiratory therapy and take appropriate corrective action
• Provide education to patients and staff regarding respiratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety precautions
• Perform routine maintenance and service checks on equipment
• Maintain records, reports, and other documentation related to the work
• Maintain current BLS and NBRC certifications
• Maintain valid Michigan state licensure
• Work with ventilator, Bipap, ICU, ER, and ABG equipment
• Work every third weekend as required
• Be available for on-call duties
• Work night shift hours (6:30 PM-7:00 AM)
• Maintain minimum 2+ years of experience in respiratory therapy
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
