Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans
• Assist patients with prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as heat and electrical stimulation
• Provide patient education on post-treatment care and home exercise programs
• Observe and monitor patients' progress during treatment sessions
• Apply massage techniques and stretching exercises as directed
• Help patients properly use assistive devices such as walkers and canes
• Document treatment sessions accurately and thoroughly
• Record patient progress and changes in condition
• Report findings and observations to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Maintain current BLS (AHA) certification
• Maintain valid state licensure in Michigan
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
