Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CNA - LTC to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x12 Rotating at a leading LTC in Seward, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant in long-term care setting
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, and ambulation
• Perform complete bed baths and assist with personal hygiene care
• Monitor and obtain vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations
• Assist with safe patient transfers and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries
• Provide incontinence care and perineal care for male and female patients
• Perform glucose point of care testing using glucometer
• Maintain proper isolation precautions and infection control measures
• Document patient care activities using ECS charting system
• Report changes in patient condition to supervising nurses
• Assist patients with ambulation and mobility needs
• Provide mouth care, foot care, and general skin care
• Change linens for occupied and unoccupied beds
• Assist with showering and bed shampoos as needed
• Work with geriatric patients including those with Alzheimer's, dementia, and TBI
• Operate medical equipment including Skylifts, Hoyers, and vital sign machines
• Float between units and affiliate hospitals as needed
• Complete required training modules pre-start and annually
• Work minimum of 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Maintain patient ratios of up to 1:20 during day shifts and 1:10 during night shifts
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references from comparable LTC settings
• Comply with all facility policies and safety procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
