Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Specialist - MLT to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Nampa, ID. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) • Work 7 on / 7 off shift schedule with varying hours (10-11 hour shifts from 2030-0700/0800) • Maintain current MLT or MT (ASCP) certification • Work holidays that fall during scheduled weekly rotation • Complete required onboarding documentation and certifications • Maintain current immunization requirements including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, and Varicella vaccines • Complete tuberculosis screening via 2-step PPD or IGRA testing • Pass required drug screening and background check processes • Complete color vision testing and physical/health assessment • Comply with facility policies, procedures, and code of conduct • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and system security agreements • Complete skills checklist and competency assessments • Participate in Joint Commission testing and compliance activities • Utilize facility systems and complete required system access documentation
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in ID
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
