Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Echo Technologist - Echo Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Operate cardiac ultrasound equipment to produce optimal echocardiographic images for diagnostic evaluation • Perform echocardiographic imaging for neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients • Conduct chamber measurements, blood flow characteristics assessment, and cardiac function evaluation • Perform adult echocardiograms and stress echoes • Conduct pediatric echocardiograms • Perform TEE, TAVR, and Watchman procedures • Work under minimal supervision while maintaining quality standards • Maintain current BLS certification • Maintain either ARDMS or CCI RCS certification • Work rotating 8-hour shifts Sunday through Saturday • Be available for weekends and holidays • Commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Participate in adult call shifts - 1 shift per week for echo call (1830-0700 and weekends 1630-0800) • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Complete required modules pre-start and annually • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Maintain valid California state license • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignments • Work with various ultrasound equipment including GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, and Toshiba systems • Perform specialized procedures including 2-D Echo, 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Treadmill Stress Echo • Apply advanced techniques such as Simpson's Rule, Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, and Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
