Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and participate in all computerized tomography scanning procedures
• Set up, monitor and operate complex computerized equipment for diagnostic purposes
• Transfer and position patients utilizing accepted standards of safety and proper lifting techniques
• Apply immobilization devices as necessary
• Provide required patient identification and obtain vital information from patients concerning known allergies and pertinent medical history
• Properly prepare and inject contrast media intravenously into appropriate patients as needed for examination
• Make and develop images for permanent file of each patient
• Record all studies on magnetic tape for future reference
• Organize daily patient schedule in cooperation with work-room technician
• Maintain image quality following department guidelines
• Perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment following department guidelines
• Ensure proper repair of equipment is performed and follow protocols for imaging procedures
• Manage electronic/digital image capture, storage, transfer, and copy
• Monitor patients for allergic reaction and take proper action as needed
• Assist with emergency medical situations including providing basic CPR
• Provide protection to self and patients in accordance with current prescribed safety standards and regulations
• Maintain cleanliness of working environment
• Ensure supplies are maintained within department inventory levels
• Instruct new personnel as needed
• Assist Radiologists and other physician specialists in performance of specialized radiological procedures
• Review and record pertinent patient history and supportive clinical data to aid in diagnosis
• Maintain Registry in accordance with regulatory agency requirements
• Participate in quality assessments and continuous quality improvement opportunities
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
