Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform all Respiratory Care procedures and protocols including CPAP/BiPAP, chest physiotherapy, aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, incentive spirometry, ventilator management, pulmonary screens, hemodynamic monitoring, and pulse oximetry • Set up and utilize variety of monitoring systems and equipment • Provide airway management and medication administration services • Perform arterial blood gas analysis and arterial punctures • Conduct oxygen therapy, suction, and pulmonary toileting procedures • Administer nebulizer treatments, BiPAP, and CPAP therapy • Perform bedside spirometry and overnight trend diagnostics • Conduct neutralizers treatment, pulmonary toilet, and HFNC initiation with ABG • Participate in bronchoscopy procedures and pulmonary function testing when needed • Perform EKGs and spirometry tests as required • Participate in departmental education programs and performance improvement programs • Contribute to new projects and programs as requested • Adhere to departmental quality, productivity and performance standards • Provide input into annual capital equipment and operations budgets as requested • Work collaboratively with patients, physicians and co-workers • Follow hospital ethics and protocols, departmental procedures and policies • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Complete required modules pre-start and annually (up to 8 hours non-billable) • Maintain current BLS certification and all required certifications • Float between hospital units or to affiliate hospitals as needed • Provide care to patients across all age groups including adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Work 12-hour night shifts as scheduled • Complete 36 hours of orientation as required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
