Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Dyersville, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services in Medical/Surgical unit
• Utilize ER and Med/Surg experience in patient care delivery
• Work every third weekend as part of scheduling requirements
• Participate in holiday rotation including at least 1 holiday during assignment
• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Maintain current nursing license and certification verification
• Complete required health screenings including fit testing
• Obtain and maintain required vaccinations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
• Complete tuberculosis screening via 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing
• Pass physical/health statement requirements and color vision testing
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing
• Maintain skills checklist requirements
• Complete required training modules including Joint Commission testing
• Adhere to code of conduct and integrity standards
• Maintain patient confidentiality and system security agreements
• Complete background checks and comply with screening requirements
• Participate in child and adult dependent abuse training
• Complete drug screening requirements
• Verify education credentials as required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
