Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sleep Tech - Polysomnographer to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform polysomnography sleep studies for adult and geriatric patients • Maintain RPSGT certification and state licensure for polysomnographic technologists • Manage patient ratios of 2:1 during overnight shifts • Conduct various sleep studies including Adult Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Baseline Sleep Polysomnography, and Home Sleep Tests • Operate and monitor sleep equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, ASV, ECG, EEG, and End-Tidal CO2 devices • Score PSG studies and identify sleep stages, respiratory events, and cardiac abnormalities • Document patient care and study results using Epic charting system • Provide patient education regarding sleep disorders and treatment options • Work 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00) including Sunday night shifts • Maintain current BLS certification • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (average 16 hours, non-billable) • Work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years • Self-report time spent on training modules and maintain completion records • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties • Maintain reliable transportation for assignment requirements • Complete 72 hours of orientation training
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
