Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Infusion to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading $facility_type$ in Eureka, CA. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide infusion nursing care for ambulatory outpatient medications excluding chemotherapy
- Administer biologic/immunotherapy medications, antibiotics, antivirals, and antifungals
- Perform iron infusions, bone health treatments, and blood transfusions
- Provide hydration therapy and supportive medications for oncology and obstetric patients
- Deliver pediatric line care and medication administration
- Access and manage ports, central lines, and PICC lines
- Perform central line blood draws and implanted line care
- Start IVs and manage infusion pump equipment
- Administer blood and blood product transfusions
- Provide care for patients with autoimmune, infectious disease, iron deficiency, oncologic, hematologic, and obstetric diagnoses
- Care for patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
- Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
- Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
- Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as required
- Work potential weekend coverage as needed
- Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
- Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries
- Maintain valid state nursing licensure
- Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty
- Complete 40-hour orientation program
- Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
- Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
