Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Neuro to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading $facility_type$ in Des Moines, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing care in the neurology department
• Work on-call shifts with minimum requirement of 10-12 call shifts per month
• Participate in holiday rotation as part of on-call team during holidays
• Work varying shifts of 8 hours, primarily day shift, depending on department needs
• Maintain valid nursing license and complete license verification
• Complete required health screenings including fit test and drug screening
• Obtain and maintain required vaccinations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA, and Varicella
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Adhere to organizational code of conduct and policies
• Complete required compliance training and documentation
• Maintain patient confidentiality and system security requirements
• Complete criminal background check and education verification
• Participate in Joint Commission testing and required training programs
• Complete child and adult dependent abuse training
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
