Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading $facility_type$ in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide labor and delivery nursing care including OB triage, labor support, and postpartum couplet care • Circulate for cesarean sections in operating room • Transition and assess newborns • Float house-wide as helping hands to SCN or PEDS with orientation • Maintain active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license • Maintain current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications • Maintain AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced certification • Work 3 x 12 night shifts (1900-0700) per week • Take on-call assignments averaging 2 shifts per 8-week schedule • Float within department as needed based on census and skill set • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day) • Utilize Cerner charting system for documentation • Adhere to quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA) • Complete required modules and training during first week of orientation • Provide two professional references from recent employers • Complete all compliance documentation within required timeframes • Perform sterile vaginal exams and maintain peripheral IVs • Conduct newborn assessments and triage obstetrical patients • Manage high-risk antepartum patients in LDRP setting with 70-100 births per month
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
