Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate OT - Therapy Rehab to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide occupational therapy services for largely outpatient pediatric population
• Serve hospital inpatients, swing bed patients, long-term care, and outpatient populations
• Perform acute disorder and chronic disorder treatment
• Conduct functional activities assessment and treatment
• Administer standardized assessments
• Provide developmental testing and treatment
• Treat patients with mental retardation/intellectual disabilities
• Transition seamlessly between inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care settings
• Work with patients across all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Complete required modules pre-start and annually (average 16 hours)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain valid state licensure
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Apply knowledge of national patient safety goals and core measures
• Perform billing-related documentation tasks
• Implement feeding techniques including oral/motor interventions
• Conduct disability sequence testing
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
