Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Missoula, MT. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide labor and delivery nursing care with 1:1 active labor ratios and 1:3 couplet ratios
• Perform triage of obstetrical patients
• Conduct sterile vaginal examinations
• Use external fetal heart monitoring (EFM)
• Provide antepartum care services
• Assist with high risk deliveries
• Circulate for C-section procedures
• Recover C-section patients
• Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC)
• Administer anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and insulin drips
• Implement isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
• Provide postpartum couplet care
• Care for infants and adults in LDRP model unit
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation
• Complete required modules pre-start and annually
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Complete compliance documentation by Monday prior to start
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Be prepared to float within the facility as needed
• Work weekends as required on variable schedule
• Maintain valid MT or Compact RN license
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MT
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
