Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ICU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 nights at a leading Hospital in Mount Clemens, MI. Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process
• Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice
• Carry out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines
• Direct, coordinate and delegate activities in order to foster patient/family centered care
• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient
• Plan and implement nursing care according to patient and family needs
• Make appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions
• Assume personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment and professional development
• Float between ICU and CVICU as needed
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Work every other weekend
• Adhere to strict attendance policy with no more than 3 absences or tardiness incidents exceeding 20 minutes
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
