Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Salisbury, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in cardiac and stroke telemetry unit with 5-6 patient ratios
• Care for pre and post procedure cardiac patients including pacemaker implantation, cardioverter/defibrillator insertion, and cardiac catheterization
• Manage patients with TR bands and post interventional peripheral vascular procedures
• Monitor and care for patients with unstable angina, chest pain evaluation, CHF, dysrhythmias, CVA, and TIA
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
• Provide care for COVID positive patients using opti-flow and BIPAP equipment
• Utilize telemetry monitoring and pulse oximetry for patient assessment
• Document patient care using Epic charting system and Dimensions
• Float between units within hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed based on census
• Complete 36-hour unit orientation and be available daily during first week
• Work every other weekend, 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Maintain ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Manage high patient turnover of 78-90 patients per week with potential for complete assignment changes
• Follow facility dress code requirements of navy blue or white scrubs
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
