Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sterile Processing Tech - Sterile Processing Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Work 2300-0730 shift with occasional weekend call on rotation
• Maintain current Certified Sterile Processing Tech certification
• Complete license/certificate verification requirements
• Undergo fit testing for respiratory protection
• Complete 9 panel drug screening
• Sign code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete integrity and audit services documentation
• Pass specialty specific competency testing
• Complete color vision testing
• Maintain required vaccinations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, PPD/IGRA, and Varicella
• Complete physical/health statement requirements
• Undergo criminal background check and education verification
• Complete EPLS and GSA/OIG screening processes
• Obtain professional liability insurance coverage
• Complete system access authorization forms
• Pass skills checklist evaluation
• Complete respirator evaluation
• Participate in orientation program
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures for sterile processing operations
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in MI
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
