Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Dubuque, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing care in medical surgical unit
• Work every third weekend as scheduled
• Complete required health screenings including 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing
• Maintain current COVID-19 vaccination status
• Complete mandatory immunizations including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Undergo annual influenza vaccination when required
• Complete comprehensive physical and health assessments
• Pass required drug screening and background checks
• Complete child and adult dependent abuse training
• Maintain valid RN licensure and provide verification
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Adhere to facility policies including code of conduct and conflict of interest requirements
• Complete required documentation for system access and patient confidentiality agreements
• Participate in fit testing and color vision screening as required
• Complete all onboarding requirements and annual compliance training
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
