Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - PACU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services in the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
• Maintain current AK RN license throughout assignment
• Maintain required certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Work variable shifts including 0700-1900, 0800-2000, 0900-2100, 1000-2200, and 1100-2300
• Work weekends and be available for on-call duties as required
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Float within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed to meet facility requirements
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (average 16 hours, non-billable)
• Self-report time spent on training modules with completion recorded in Workramp transcripts
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Comply with facility dress code requirements including provided scrubs
• Accept and use facility-provided communication devices when required for duties
• Adhere to guaranteed hours requirement of 62 hours per 2-week period
• Maintain professional standards and comply with all facility policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
