Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Med Surg Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Mason City, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing care in Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
• Work every third weekend and every other holiday
• Complete required health screenings including 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing
• Maintain current COVID-19 vaccination status
• Complete required immunizations including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Pass comprehensive drug screening and background check
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Maintain valid RN licensure and certification verification
• Complete mandatory training modules including child and adult dependent abuse training
• Adhere to confidentiality agreements and system security protocols
• Complete conflict of interest disclosure and code of conduct requirements
• Undergo fit testing and color vision screening
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
• Complete required compliance documentation and verification processes
• Participate in ongoing education and competency assessments
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems [Epic, Cerner, etc. preferred]
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
